Re:DAY Privacy Policy

Re:DAY (the "App") lets you put photos into albums and play puzzles with the same photos together with the people you went out with. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

1. Your photos and album names are not visible to us

Photos and album names you add are encrypted on your device before they are stored on the server. The key to decrypt them is created on the device for each album and is placed after the "#" in the invite link, so it reaches only the people you invite (the part after "#" is never sent to the server). The developer and server administrators therefore cannot see the contents of your photos or your album names.

2. Information we store

Information such as where or when a photo was taken is not included in the stored photos.

3. How we use it

This information is used only to store albums, share them with the people you invite, and decide who can do what. Because photos and album names are encrypted, they are never used for advertising.

4. Advertising

For users of the free version, the App shows ads from Google AdMob (a banner at the bottom of the screen and a full-screen ad after every three completed puzzles). Only when you choose to, it also shows a video ad that lets you try the premium puzzles for 30 minutes. To show ads and measure their performance, AdMob may collect the following:

You can change tracking permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. For how AdMob handles information, see Google's advertising policies. Your photos and album names are never sent to AdMob.

In regions where consent is required by law, such as the EU and the UK, you choose how your information is used for ads on Google's consent screen before any ads are shown, and we follow your choice. You can change it at any time from "Ad privacy settings" under the gear at the top right of the home screen.

5. Purchases

Purchases of Premium (a one-time purchase) and payments are handled by Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive your name, card number or other payment details. Purchase records received from the App Store are used only to check whether you have purchased.

6. External services

The App uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage and Hosting) for storage and sign-in, and Google AdMob for ads. The Cloud Storage and Cloud Firestore servers are located in the United States. Google's privacy policy is available here.

7. Sharing with third parties

Except for the collection by AdMob described in "4. Advertising" and cases required by law, we do not share stored information with third parties.

8. Deleting your data

Because the App is used anonymously, deleting the App means you can no longer return to albums you created. Before deleting the App, please delete any albums you do not want to keep. If you can no longer delete them, please contact us below.
